I prefer "beat you wife Potvin,beat your wife" Never was a fan of "potvin sucks" At least the NYR in house entertainment stopped playing the tune years ago, fans just keeping it up fpr some reason. Unlike the Masoleum that keeps playing the tune so the fans can chime in..ie: chicken dance, if your happy and the like. Same at Prudential center. To each his own I guess.

chicken dance is no longer played. The Potvin sucks chant just makes no sense the guy was a legend. Probably the best NY defenseman of all time. In 2014 Rangers should think of a new chant....

I've read the isles have made an offer to Dan Boyle. I've also read that Dan Boyle has yet to say if he's going to entertain that deal. Thats not good news for isles fans.

If you know the true origin of that chant than youre old enough to have seen potvin play which means you know he was MUCH Bette than leetch. Dont get me wrong leetch was an incredible defenseman in his own right and a great guy. Even as an islander fan I was a fan of leetch but there's no comparison btn the two. Potvin was far superior.

Constantly complaining about the Potvin Sucks chant is almost as ridiculous as the chant itself.
